Programa Prácticas de Acceso / Graduate Programme

Our Graduate Programme offers you the opportunity to join an international law firm, and from day one, collaboratively work on market-leading, multijurisdictional matters.

A key part of our programme is the opportunity to rotate through two different legal teams in order to gain a more holistic view of the profession, a breadth of training, and guidance to work out what area of law you want to focus on long-term.

We are looking for Máster de Acceso students who are enthusiastic about law and want to make a difference by starting their career with Ashurst.

The recruitment process

You will be required to submit a short application including uploading your CV, most recent academic transcripts and a short cover letter to give us an understanding of who you are and why you're interested in our role.

You are welcome to write your application in either English or Spanish.

Once you have applied you will be emailed a link to complete our online aptitude assessment. Our assessment 'Cognify' requires you to complete a series of online games measuring your problem solving and analytical skills. The assessment takes around 30 minutes to complete.

You will meet face-to-face with one of our lawyers and a member of our People & Culture team for a conversational interview that is designed to assess your personal and technical skills.

它’s also an opportunity for you to find out more about us, so please come prepared with your questions.

Following your face-to-face interview you will be required to complete a written English language assessment. You'll be given a generalised, non-legal topic or question and will need to write a short essay to assess your English comprehension, analysis and writing skills.

You will meet face-to-face with two of our partners from Madrid. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you more and for you to find out what it's like to work here. You'll also have the opportunity to ask more questions, so please come prepared.

Testimonials

Pedro Montero

"My experience at Ashurst has been incredible and our employees make the real difference. I assisted in client meetings from the very beginning, as client exposure is something Ashurst provides to young trainees that most of the law firms don't."

Pedro Montero, Trainee 2021

Alba Aparicio

"I had the opportunity to enjoy and learn a lot during my first year at the firm, because at the beginning of your career is when your learning is most accelerated and you feel most fulfilled. In my case it coincided with a very busy time in the market, so I was able to be involved in several transactions, from the initial stages to closing, feeling part of the process from the beginning. Also, at Ashurst you are considered part of the team once you arrive and that is really appreciated."

Alba Aparicio, Trainee 2020.
