Our partners

Ashurst is an active voice in industry dialogue on the topic of green finance. We are a member of severalICMA Green Bond Principles Working Groups,AFME Sustainable FinanceandGreen Finance Working Groupand theAPLMA Green and Sustainable Loan Committee. We work with theGreen Finance Institute, launched by the City of London Corporation in partnership with the UK Government, theUK Green Building Counciland also theClimate Bonds Initiativein Australia and the UK.

Past events

Green Finance Summit: "Investing in Actions"

In June 2019, members of the Ashurst Sustainability team attended the Green Finance Summit "Investing in Actions", which showcased the City of London's latest green financial policy, market developments and thought leadership. We have also run a number of Green Accelerator sessions alongside the Climate Bonds Initiative that bring together people in the industry to discuss how we can drive sustainable agendas in business.

Ashurst COP26 Academy: keynote speech with Sir David King and Prof. Nerilie Abram

In October 2021, Anna-Marie Slot, Ashurst Global Sustainability/ESG Partner hosted a discussion with Sir David King, Founder of the Cambridge Centre on Climate Restoration and Head of the Climate Crisis Advisory Group and Professor Nerilie Abram of ANU Research School of Earth Sciences. Transition Finance: what does good look like?

In November 2021, we were delighted to host an informal discussion with Michelle Horsfield from Climate Bond Initiative on 'what good looks like in transition finance'. This session covered what a credible transition plan looks like; recent market trends and developments; and how we can achieve the wider Paris Agreement goals.
