Paul Jenkins is Ashurst's global chief executive officer and is based in Sydney and London
Paul is a member of the Ashurst board and has been a partner since 2006.
Paul led the firm's global Finance Division prior to his appointment as Global Chief Executive Officer in 2016. In 2022, Paul was reappointed Global CEO for a further four-year term.
Under Paul's leadership Ashurst has experienced significant revenue growth, with an average growth rate of more than 8% each year over the last six years. This significant growth has been achieved through setting a clear vision and direction for the firm and disciplined strategic planning.
In his leadership positions, Paul has consistently promoted the benefits of collaboration, innovation and diversity. Paul was the first law firm leader to join the Champions of Change Coalition, which works with prominent leaders from the business community to increase the representation of women in leadership roles. Paul leads the firm's global Committed to Change programme in which partners actively raise awareness and acceptance of diversity and inclusion in the firm.
Paul was recognised by the Financial Times in its 2019 Innovative Lawyers Report as one of the Top 10 innovators in Asia Pacific, and in Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2019 as a Leading Individual in Debt Capital Markets. Paul's successful legal practice has encompassed banking, corporate finance, debt capital markets and securitisation.
Paul joined the firm as a graduate and is a qualified solicitor in NSW and England and Wales, and has practised in London, Tokyo and Sydney.
