Dr Matthias Weissinger, LL.M. (UPenn) is a finance partner and member of our German Global Loans team
Matthias focuses on domestic and cross-border financings and restructurings. He advises in particular national and international financial institutions, debt funds, sponsors and corporate borrowers on leveraged buyouts, unitranche financings, bank/bond financings as well as corporate lending for large- and mid-cap companies. He has also broad experience in advising on complex debt restructurings, out-of-court solutions, insolvency proceedings and distressed M&A transactions.
Matthias is recommended in the most recent editions ofChambers Global,Chambers Europe IFLR1000andLegal 500 Germany. He regularly publishes and lectures on insolvency and restructuring law issues as well as on acquisition financings.
Prior to joining Ashurst, he was a partner at another leading international law firm.
