Ashurst advises Basalt Infrastructure Partners on merger of two fibre network businesses

Global law firm Ashurst has advised Basalt Infrastructure Partners on the merger of Full Fibre Ltd and Digital Infrastructure Holdco Limited, two fibre network companies operating in the UK.
Full Fibre is a UK-based wholesale fibre operator, active in 11 counties, including Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, while Digital Infrastructure – which also owns internet service provider BeFibre – provides FTTP services and is rolling out its fibre network across southeast England.
The merger of Full Fibre and Digital Infrastructure will help to consolidate the combined business in an increasingly competitive sector, enlarging its presence in the wholesale UK fibre market.
Ashurst previously advised Basalt on its original acquisition of a majority stake in Full Fibre in 2020 as well as on its subsequent acquisition of Digital Infrastructure in 2021.
